The history of wines in Mexico is naturally linked to the Missionaries who introduced the vines, olive trees and
other Mediterranean species when they arrived to Baja California, and when the history of Santo Tomas began.
1697
The Jesuits arrived to BC and grounded the Mission of Nuestra Señora de Loreto (Our Lady of Loreto).
1706
The fist vines were planted in the Mission of San Francisco Javier.
1780
The Dominican Order grounded the Mission of San Vicente Ferrer.
1791
Leaded by Jose Loriente and Juan Crisodtomo, the Dominicans grounded the Mission of Santo Tomas de Aquino
